    This photograph by Print Sales' photographers Anderson & Low has been selected to be part of the New Acquisitions photography display at the V&A, London.

    The photographs in Anderson & Low’s series Chrysalis are comprised of layers of architectural details repeated and manipulated until they form beautifully abstracted shapes. The artists play with technology while referencing the natural world and the laws of mathematics.

    First Prize: £12,000

    The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize presents the very best in contemporary portrait photography. Open to everyone over 18, the competition has established a reputation for its diversity of styles, encompassing editorial, reportage and fine art images submitted by a range of photographers, from gifted amateurs and photography students to professionals.

    IdeasTap, working in association with Magnum Photos, is launching the IdeasTap Photographic Awards 2010.

    This is a new photo essay competition for young people. The theme is ‘Future – life after 2012’.

    The overall winner receives a paid internship at Magnum Photos, a trip to New York working with Magnum in Motion and £5,000.  

    Submissions close 14th June 2010 midday.
